Within the higher class regions there is a spaceport, a beautiful building that stretches out in all directions like a tree and stands tall above the land. Platforms adorned its branches of all sizes on each of the 1000 levels of the building. The higher you climbed, the more peaceful and posh the atmosphere became, and the official check in would be stationed on the very top, crowning the tree like royalty though it had once been at the bottom in order to attempt to hide the moon's decline. The Spaceport was the tallest and most elaborate structure that would be seen for miles, glistening silver and gold in the light of the sun. It distracted nearly all eyes from the slums of the moon, showing off the sphere in a different light than what was truly going on below.

As the sun began to set, the uppermost branches of the spaceport glowing with brilliance in the last few minutes of light it had left to appreciate. A ship had prepared itself to land on a clear pad, blinking with blue and red lights as its thrusters forced dust from the steel. It took a moment for it to power down, and soon opened a hatch to where a femme padded down, carrying herself in a way that would suggest she belonged within this higher class area. Stopping to look around, her gems pulsed with a flash of recognition in the fading sunlight. Nayeli was supposed to meet someone here, though she unfortunately had forgotten the name of who they were, but didn't make much of a deal out of it.
Placing her servos on her hips, she looked out into the horizon as the final sliver of sun had left, and the port was now in darkness. It soon began to glow with lights that twinkled like stars of all colours, adding the kind of majesty she much adored in her life, and responded with her own.

One of the few mechs standing on the landing pad, Crackdrive didn't look out of place amongst the many support staff running around as they prepared the recently arrived ship for its next take off. His steel grey frame, almost boring in comparison to the newly parked ship as his fingers twitched in boredom. The longing desire for a cy-gar rivalling with the spaceport rules that prevented him simply lighting one so close to the energon tanks that were now being pumped into the luxury yacht ahead of him. It was only the knowledge that his contact would arrive soon that kept him from disobeying the rules anyway. Along with the few security guards near the entrance to the spaceport that were watching him with deep scrutiny. A little part of him even considered pulling out a lighter just to see them react before he could do so however, Nayeli appeared.
Just like he expected of the femme who came from one of the most luxurious vessels around, her appearance was neither subtle or understated as she lit up in response to the lights of the spaceport, he only barely commented on the fact she looked like an overpriced glowstick. He kept that thought silent however as he gave her a nod, only a little more brutish than most snobs appreciated.
"I was worried, you might have got lost." He said, his voice jovial and just a touch rougher than most a result of the gunk that constant Cy-gar use had clogged his vocal chords with. "Sarune, might have sent someone nagging at me if you disappeared."

She walked up to the mech and gave him a nod back, ignoring how his demeanor did not match hers. It was common with those who were simply sent to fetch and return rather than to be retrieved. The femme let him speak, finding very little amusement in his remarks.
"I see no reason as to why you would assume I wouldn't be here." She simply put, "Now, as you have clearly been told to fetch me, may we not waste our vents with small talk and get straight to the point?" She asked, raising an optic ridge at the rather plain looking mech. Her voice was rather sweet sounding, but had its undertones of authority and that of higher class. It was clear she was going to be near impossible to live with.

"Alright, I can work with that. Small talk was never my strong point anyway." Crackdrive conceded after hearing the femme's response, as he turned back towards the entrance to the spaceport with a shrug that hid the twitchy movement of his main arm. Although, not perfectly if the way one of the guards at the gateway was staring at him had anything to say. It hardly mattered, however, a Cy-gar addiction was hardly the worse affliction a resident of Leva III could possess, in fact with the number of credits he had to make just to fuel it Crackdrive could even consider it classy. His last contact certainly did when he realised poor Crackdrive was burning more than most people made in an Orbital Cycle. Then again his last contact had been weird, while he lasted anyway, the kid hadn't been made out for their line of work.
Sarune had probably known that, but she'd sent him anyway. It wouldn't surprise him, she'd always taken a sink or swim approach with those who came in overconfident and with dreams of riches and power.
"Usually, I'd wait till we're in a secure area. This time though we only have two groups to worry about and only one of them is any position to overhear us and we're not exactly working against them. What do you know about why you were brought here?" he asked, just as he reached the security gate where he stopped awaiting Nayeli's response before he'd step anywhere near to their probing searches. The one on the left probably still remembered that time he'd brought Red Spike in back during his smuggling days. Past his cy-gar though, he wasn't carrying anything narcotic this time, and if Switch tried taking the Cy-gar he could probably bribe the other officials once he killed anyone who dared touch his death stick.
"Switch, you going to let me through this time?"
"I don't know. You still trying to shift things by me?"
"Cut the scrap, we both know I haven't done anything like that for years."
"News to me. So, who's this..." Shift said, as he pointed his digit in Nayeli's direction. "...I hope you've warned this one how uncomfortable things get if the scanner goes off."
"Ahh, the last one deserved it. Anyway, that one was worth it. He probably didn't stop flinching from you guys for a week, made his sendoff just that much sweeter when he couldn't look me in the optics."

The femme studied the mech as she followed him, watching every movement closely. In the past she had worked with very shady clients, and most had turned out to be troublesome on her behalf. But with time she learned the signs that they were planning something with ill intention. This mech was a little more pathetic, but overall didn't show any signs that she would have impending complications with him, and decided to ease up a little. Once entering the light of the checkpoint, the light of her gems died down to nothing, "Aletheuo. I was never really told the full intention of my visit. Most of what I know was that I was abruptly pulled from my last in favor of this one. You know what the boss is like, all cryptic and that. If anything she probably just wishes to see me again." She gave him a sheepish smile, which faded quickly when another mech approached. Nayeli crossed her arms, looking Switch over and calculating routes of escape if things went south, but over all played it cool.

The snort that erupted from Crackdrive's nasal ridge was a rough and crackly thing, not exactly the type of sound those who preferred the finer things in life were acquainted with. Although it was neither a sound that many others could appreciate as Shift stared in horror, which only led to Crackdrive smirking in response. A moment later though he was turning back to the source of his reaction, as his optics subtly traced the femmes form before he began speaking again.
"If Sarune wanted to see you, she wouldn't have sent you here. Leva III isn't exactly close to Galatine... not that you could ever mistake that with where you're going. You've got a little sightseeing in the Demora district, rumours have it the main gang in that sector tried stealing from Fauxwing, since they're still around we're assuming she might have other priorities but it's only a matter of time before she strikes back. Only the desperate try hitting her now." Crackdrive declared with a smile as he awaited Shift to begin scanning him, a task which the mech began shortly afterwards as his counterpart used the handheld scanner on Nayeli, the red beam that originated from the device searching through her frame for anything out of place. At least this time, Shifts own scanner failed to find anything of notice.
"Yeah, yeah. I get the point, your as clean as the floors around here."
"Well... I wouldn't go that far."
"I hope that's not a confession you've been disrupting the scanners again, management fragged me for weeks because of that."
"You know me, Shift. Never the same trick twice, on this occasion though you can feel relieved knowing I did not intentionally ruin your day."
"Yeah, well you're still doing it."
"And so my spark continues to beat."

Nayeli simply gave him a disrespectful scoff, "Now, I never said directly, didn't I? Now, be a good little escort and simply keep to your task, I'm not one for conversing." The femme inspected her digits with a radiant look of importance on her face. She was smart enough to hide anything that would cause suspicion on her well beneath layers of lead within subspaces, acting as though she had nothing of the sort easily.
"Mech, I assume we are on a tight schedule, so I suggest you catch up with your friend here later, hm?" Nayeli had a proud look on her face, carrying it as if it was nothing. She held her wings high in this environment, feeling rather homey with how well kept it was.

"Well ain't she delightful." Shift commented as he lowered his scanner after its last check had revealed nothing out of the ordinary, the Cy-gar not included for the simple fact somehow Crackdrive had bribed two of the maintenance staff to include his concoction of choice in the scanners authorized list. Not that after so many arguments over the matter, Shift ever expected to be allowed to take it out of the other mech's servos. At least this time he hadn't set it on light, only inches from a fuel pipe currently in use.
"Oh, she's a real beauty. Just my favourite type for babysitting duty."
"Yeah, well I'm not getting into that one. Hey, Rack you done with the lady?"
Nodding in response to the question, the other guard was soon lowering his scanner as well, although with noticeable disappointment as his optics roamed the femme for just a few moments before looking back at the results of the scan he'd just done.
"She's clean."
"Alright then, looks like you two lovebirds get to go through. Tell me how the honeymoon went when you get back, Crack."
Unwilling to respond to the banter, Crackdrive just grunted in response as he stepped through the entrance, mindful of the heavy blast doors that could be sealed at any moment as he awaited Nayeli to follow him. His steps soon carried him deeper into the spaceport, which welcomed him with a wide-open reception area made up of gleaming surfaces and windows that led to startling sights. "Listen, I don't really care how things worked in whatever backwater world you recently came from. The reality is though I've got to work with you, and your being sent into an area where if I don't tell you scrap then I'll be seeing you next Tuesday as salvage in rusty rens. First off, this isn't a rushed mission, we haven't spotted any Decepticons on the planet and since they would either have to come through the yards or this spaceport we're rather certain we're not missing any response team. That means you have time to acquaint yourself with your objective, since clearly someone decided it was best not to debrief you through comms."

Watching the guard who scanned herout of the corner of her eye, holding a look of disgust back for how he looked at her. She promptly followed suit behind Crackdrive, paying no more attention to those who protected the entrance, and spoke to him in a more discreet manner. ”And I personally don’t care what upsidedown drug cartel you come from, but here we are now, nothing either of us can do.” Nayeli looked around, studying her surroundings, ”Also, I was instructed not to probe for such information over commlinks. There’s always someone who can exploit even the most secure of links over such great distances, and I knew that very well.” She said, keeping her tone calm as she looked at the mech, placing her servos on her hips. ”And frankly, I expected you to debrief me. But I do give my full sparked promise to complete my mission with ease. Just like I have with all my recent ones.” She raised a servo, then placed it on her spark, smirking all the while.

Without even a glance in her direction, which led to him completely missing her gesture, Crackdrive continued forward into the reception area passing by a number of chairs that had been laid out for those who desired to wait inside. Soon though he had reached his destination, a large elevator that was currently closed as he pressed his digit against the caller.
"That's sweet, truly my confidence in you is overflowing." He eventually responded after another of his unpleasant snorts, which distracted from the fact now within the building he was already taking out his Cy-gar. A moment later though, he lit it, completely ignoring the disapproving look of one of the reception staff as the surrounding area was flooded with the bittersweet aroma of a quality Cy-gar. An experience he was more than willing to savour as he took a deep draw before allowing his denta to part, leaving smoke to pour from his intake as he let out a relieved sight before tilting his head in Nayeli's direction.
"Would you like me to debrief you in the open where anyone can hear us, or you going to show a little bit of patience. Cause I don't mind, Sarune ain't paying me to be confidential this time and if people hear about your business in the open it's not going to be anything off my chestplate."

This mech didn’t like her, Just how I intend to keep it. Good. She thought, looking around the building as they exited a branch
”I’m a patient femme. i can wait until we’re in private to recieve my mission.” Nayeli stated, ”But since you clearly cannot for long without a conversation I might as well keep you company. I don’t even know your name, but, there’s the likely chance you know mind, so are we going to keep introductions short?” She asked, standing tall and keeping her chin up as she glanced at any possible prying eyes she didn’t like.

"Crackdrive of Peptex." The mech announced as the elevator appeared, the doors opening wide allowing both him and Nayeli to enter with plenty of room to spare, although notably, no one else entered, probably a result of the Cy-gar smoke that quickly enveloped the enclosed space. "As for you, I got a physical description and then a name, Nayeli. That's as far as they bothered to give me about you. I didn't need anything else after all to find you."
With that stated the mech pushed his digit against the controls inside, directing the elevator to level 682, one of the better catering levels that weren't directly linked to one of the landing areas or the airlock entrances that were at the tip of the structure allowing the largest of ships to drop off passengers.
"So if you have anything worthwhile to tell me about yourself, I'm listening. This isn't exactly a slow trip." He said as the elevator doors closed and their transport began moving from level 921, at a speed that was hardly quick.

Nayeli didn’t exactly mind the smoke of the Cy-gar, and simply stopped venting as a whole to prevent her own systems from clogging. Stepping into the elevator, she leaned against the railing with a rather neutral expression on her face, no need to try and even slightly impress anyone here right? ”Call me Nay’.” The femme gave him an un-serious smile, before returning her optics to the floor, ”Well, if you so dearly need to know something about me, I’m higher ranking than maybe even you, though pease do correct me if I am wrong. I obviously come from a place in which has the bar set high though that currently isn’t none of your business... Hmph, really, you must be closer if you want more than that out of me. I’d say it takes only a night, heh.” She joked, looking over at the numbers that told them they climbed the building, ”But what about my current ‘partner’, eh? What of him I don’t know? I don’t care what kind of Cy-gars he likes though, so don’t even bother going into that.”

"Spoilsport." He complained, after hearing her lack of interest in the glorious death stick that was currently clogging his systems with its bittersweet scent and the delightful taste of a dozen organic plants his systems would never be able to savour. Not that he really cared for the fruits by themselves, it was the feeling of the Cy-gar burning between his intake as much as the flavours that burst across his receptors that kept him constantly searching for his next draw.
"I'm pretty simple, sparked during the so-called golden age, I got to watch the scrapheap I was raised in fall deeper into the rust spot. By then we'd already had a few rumours of the Decepticon movement and I wasn't in the mood for getting into some other idiots war, so I left. Give or take a few eons running around trying to find out what in the pits name I was doing, and eventually, I ended up in this sector. Back then though Zerach was running the scrap around here, a piece of work that one, got it into his head that if he bathed in the energon of his enemies they'd give him an overcharge. Not exactly the sanest, but since the rest of us where safe most people ignored his issues... then he got it into his head a few civilians every day would restore his purity... well a lot of us were thankful when Sarune appeared out of nowhere and took over his operations."
With that said, Crackdrive was back to drawing on his Cy-Gar only stopping once in awhile as he allowed his vents to consume some of the smoke that was now fogging up the elevator.
"Also... I don't mix business and pleasure, so don't even bother."
