Deep within the centre of Crescent Fortress, many of the training areas where large sweeping halls mixed with a few more personal small scale training rooms. One of the smallest of these spaces was the VR Training Area; consisting of a room with just roughly twenty berths, despite the capacity such furniture suggested it was also cramped with many of the berth's close enough that it would only take a single movement to touch the user of another bed. Far from the standards of the other more open training areas, this was not a place for fighting, restricted as it was even the walkway between the bunks possessed little space for sparing. In part because of the furniture that took up some of the room, but also the massive system of mainframes that where churning away in the background, a constant supply of noise that would have made sleeping near-impossible, made worse by the constant fluctuation of heat as the gigantic machines produced waves of heat that where reduced only by a constant supply of cool air.
Visually distinct from the other training areas then it would have been easy to assume the room was some form of emergency medbay, due in part to the way all the berths where far more advanced than just a slab of metal for sleeping, possessing visible cables that ran from the bottom of the bunks towards the mainframe that took up the back of the room. While a more thorough look at the headpiece of each berth would have shown the uplink slots that greatly resembled cortical psychic patches. A not unfair comparison since they where a fundamental piece of this rooms primary purpose, allowing the Decepticons to access Virtual Reality and in doing so experience scenarios outwith the tightly controlled parameters of the traditional training areas.
For within this room, confined as it was the subjects using those berths fought on enormous battlefields and across landscapes long lost to the Great War.
