Hearing about your endeavors infront of you can bolster your mood rather well. As it were with fliers, some had easy tells. Even if one tried so hard to constrain them for professionalism, such as wings unfurling or air intakes opening up to draw in air. Still she managed to keep them to a minimal... behind the grounder which she was focused on. Yet the other flier will tell right away. The growing smile was further clues when Fauxwing's compliment came, a rarity!
Her helmet lifted slightly upon learning of what Terrashock's intentions were of the crystals. Despite them having 8 in their possession, she was still hesitant to lend one out and record it. This... will prove interesting and her data pad tilted slightly with a few light cautious taps done.
Silent Recording started...
A different perspective per say. Maybe from this angle they can review what Terrashock does, say, conducts himself throughout in order to distinguish his true intents. Not all Decepticons are master silver tongues. Truth be told, she should have done this before entering but the talk of weapons had side tracked her mind sadly.

Terrashock briefly glanced to the side as soon as Fauxwing complimented Airburst as well, and during that brief inspection his thoughts about her were still positive. After all, not only she was an officer, but also behaved surprisingly well for a seeker. All his previous experiences with seekers were far from pleasant, so perhaps this base would be more peaceful than his previous "home" after all. Another thing he noticed on her chassis was the lack of medals or symbols to present her status, so perhaps she was still new on this campaign...Or simply didn't bother wearing them during this meet, it was hard to guess. The Combaticon couldn't question any of that considering he didn't even have time to change his chassis platings to wear his proper formal plate layer for the occasion, but he still gave a brief nod in response to the femme's words. "Yes she seems to be very reliable. I can see why you have her in dhat rank." With the main topic at hand, it was time to find out just what exactly Fauxwing expected from him; and honestly he was expecting to hear the worst-After all, this was one of those situations someone on the top could use to get whatever they desired even if it would be classified as corruption, plus with Megatron's rage blinding his direction he didn't have hopes on the commanders of the other sections...Especially if he picked them after forgetting about their true ideals behind the war. The extra information he was receiving about the crystals made him tilt his helmet, that number certainly was something of his interest. "Eight? Dhat's a good amount if dhey do in fact carry dhe amount of energy I heard of. Hmm...If dhere are scientists examining dhem, I take it dhere is a report log related to dhe progress too?" If others had more information about the crystals, he was going to need it, as it obviously was going to make his project low faster. But then she finally told him of her demands-Which made the large mech simply stare at her for a moment, with those radars pointing forward-Which normally would represent his anger, but instead his faceplate was simply showing a puzzled expression.
He wasn't sure if she was actually serious about her request or if this was some sort of joke before she pushed her actual demands, but then again that normally would be seem was an unfair deal for a soldier who desired to gain fame and power...But Terrashock was simply desiring to see the end of that war, while he had that passion for designing weapons it wasn't something he desired to keep doing for the rest of his life. "Fauxwing." He raised his helm and began to move closer until he was standing right in front of her desk, only to rest an arm against his chestplating again. "I am not sure what kind of soldier you dealt with in dhe past, but my objectives always have been clear. I serve our cause, I create for dhe Decepticons. I am no weapon merchant, dhe only dhing I wish to see is our victory." Even his optics were glowing a stronger tone of red while he spoke with the thought of creating a weapon fit for such task going through his processor , and the thought of a new Cybertron was always something that did get him pumped up. "If dhis is dhe resource we need to finally reach what we had been fighting for, I will gladly work on it nonstop! But tell me, just where was dhis crystal extracted from? Do we have machines working on dhe extraction of more?"

Fauxwing remains unmoving, still as a statue with scrutiny in her eyes as she seems to absorb Terrashock’s half of the exchange reactionless. Her fingers unbind, unfolding her hands as she leans flat against the back of her chair. She takes a moment before responding.
"Yes, there is a report log. Not that I expect much progress to have been made. We have only just acquired the crystals.” She waves carelessly in Airburst’s direction. “Airburst, see to it that Terrashock is set as priority ’two’ on the project. Full access to all official reports.” The business-like exchange continues.
“Hmm. You must not know about the cores.”
“These crystals are not naturally occuring, nor can they be harvested by way of mechanical equipment. They get their name from the creatures they come from; Ceralyth. A scourge beyond the boundary of the Fields of Resonance; a race of unusual mechanical energivores, the energy which they consume is stored in their organs- their cores- creating the powerful energy crystals in our possession.”
“Although I myself have not experienced it, it is said that they can consume a Cybertronian’s entire energy reserve at once. Drain the spark in one foul swoop. Quite lethal, hence the crystals’ rarity. The batch we have was obtained by way of a mercenary sent beyond the field. While I’d be wary of giving such unsubstantiated rumors merit, it’s not worth risking loyal Decepticon lives to find out.”
Her helm tips downward, the corners of her lips held taught in a difficult to read expression somewhere between curious and leery.
“You have my approval.”
“Anything advantageous to the Decepticons. You have permission to move freely about the system in your transport, and access to whatever resources in the Crescent Fortress may aid you in your work.”

No medals adorned her figure as well. Was she new or... Well judging from her actions Terrashck can assume she is more business than showing off. That is a great way to get you a few great positions.
A few tacks onto her data pad was given before she adjusts the camera to Fauxwing slightly, unconsciously of course. "A priority two on the way Commander." She responds and quickly tacked away, entering him into the data base and allowing greater ease of access for the crystals.
What caught her attention and the camera lens was his response. Normally someone would outburst at the demands, yet here he was... More calm and collected than most units she has seen. Troubling... Someone so collected would have plenty of experience. Luckily he was for their cause and on their side. Maybe after the war they will greatly appreciate his presence.
Yet his presence may be taken if he wanted more of these crystals. He could take them with ease given he held many ranged weapons to combat these dreaded beasts. Something that she wouldn't want to do herself given their nature and consumption of energy! A slight shake of the helm was shown as she imagines such beasts... Without ever seeing them. Probably large claws, big teeth, hard exoskeleton to keep all that energy within...

Considering there wasn't much more to be said, Terrashock could only wait for the femme to speak up and give her permission or not. Her response related to how much time they adquired those crystals perked his curiosity; if they recently gained them, how come that information already reached other sectors? Was there a security breach? He couldn't tell, but based on how suspicious she was of his presence before, it was safe to assume they didn't mean to spread that information so soon. "Any kind of information will be welcome for dhis." And for his surprise, she did give him clearance to read the researches they had been conducting-So perhaps she did notice the truth behind his words after all. When she began providing him with more information related to the cores, his radars perked upwards in a mix of curiosity and disappointment. "Not natural, hm? Dhat is an issue..." He mumbled out while one of his servos went up to ponder, simply absorbing the information she had to provide him with. And the more she spoke, the trickier it was getting, so not only he wouldn't be able to duplicate the material...But apparently the "source" of such powerful cores happened to be beings that fed on energy; something that at least did explain how those cores were packing so much power. "Unfortunately dhe Infirium project won't work for dhis dhen..." He tapped a pede on the floor taking his time to ponder about the situation, after all strategist or not he couldn't come up with a soluction right off the bat. "We could make an inferior version based on its components...But it won't be enough, dhe cores clearly carry much more power-And dhe kind of power needed to create a weapon to decimate dhose foolish enough to go against us." When she continued her explanation related to those creatures, it was quite obvious those were some dangerous foes to deal with, but that didn't make him back away.
Then she finally said the words he was waiting for, and for his surprise not only her approval but also permission to access the resources of the base-Those were like magic words for someone like Terrashock. "Well, I do have another plan in mind, based on dhis information you provided me with." The large mech stepped back a tad and reached for his own datpad, only to place it down her desk and slide it towards her direction to let her see the blueprint of what seemed to be a beam weapon. "We hunt dhem. A loyal Decepticon must be willing to put dheir own lives in risk for dhe cause, and I know for a fact eight cores won't be enough to take down a whole faction. So we will need more of dhese." If a single mercenary was able to gather some, he wasn't going to hesitate on taking such task, this was a matter of showing the true strength of the Decepticons and what they were capable of. "Differently of dhis...Mercenary you sent, we will have something special for our guests." He tapped a single digit on the screen to show her what was going to be the source of power for the weapon. "...A beam weapon made with one of dhe cores. We will kill dhem using what dhey are made of. Fire against fire." The Combaticon briefly glanced at Airburst, as she apparently was just standing behind him without saying much aside from attending to Fauxwing's orders. "If you don't mind, I will require your officer's assist with dhis project. If you are giving me clearance to dhe base's resources, I will be preparing weapons fit to fight dhese beasts." As he spoke, he shook one of his arms a few times just to let the chains from his morning star get loose and drop on the ground with a loud "clank!". Once more those six optics focused on the seeker before proceeding to speak. "As I doubt you do intend to provide me with more than a single core based on how valuable they are, I will create a weapon capable of tearing down dheir carapace...But to avoid taking unnecessary risks I will require an ambush team too." His other servo reached for the chains to wrap them around his own arm for a moment, simply to show the kind of restraining he had in mind. "Dhey will be in charge of restraining the creature, I will be creating weapons specifically for such task so I can mantain the beam completely focused on the beast. The moment we break dhrough dhe armor, the second team will focus dheir attacks on dhe exposed part along with dhe beam." While he was more than willing to face that task on his own, he didn't want to put the core he was entrusted with in danger, plus this was going to be their first time fighting it, so being cautious against an unknown danger was required. "Once we gather more of dhose cores, we can start applying dhem to different weapons and expand our arsenal against dhem until we can harvest as many as possible." Obviously the Combaticon wasn't worried about causing the extinction of a creature that only served the purpose of becoming material, the priority was the war and the war only.

“Mmm, your plan would be sound if not for the Field of Resonance. Travel through the field is not possible with our current technology. Loathe though I am to admit it, other races’ technologies, ones more advanced than ours in systems distant from here, may have obtained some means of providing safe passage. We’ve looked into it, but our search has not produced any results as of yet.”
“Very well. You may proceed with your mission just as you have proposed. Gather whatever volunteers you wish to accompany you in addition to the forces you brought with you, and I will have Airburst see to it they are transferred to you."
“It will no doubt take considerable time for you to prepare the weapons for your mission, especially seeing as our scientists have not yet cracked stabilizing the crystals so they are viable for use. Therefore, you may start by searching for a way through the field. The aforementioned mercenary, a Cybertronian goes by the name of Shadow-Strike, had a way through, though I cannot speak as to how. If you wish to get in contact with him, Airburst can provide you his communication info. Otherwise, we’ll have to find some other method for you”

A plan of attack was proposed. An ambush with a beam like weapon utilizing a beam weapon powered by them. Interesting. She took notes and wrote it all down to ensure that these two have it written down for future prospects, that and the recording. Double the information!
"Resources and persons of interest will be allocated to your ambush project. Hunters, trackers, heavy weapons, and long range experts may be of great value here." Her fingers tacked away super fast onto her screen before she gazed up at them. She knew Fauxwing's response and did what was appropriate. Still, was this enough of their units to ensure this one Decepticon doesn't get swayed by the power of the cores?

The mention of a field made the Decepticon cross his arms against his chestplate, shaking his helm in response. This truly wasn't something he was prepared for, the project itself was already going to consume a lot of time, now having to design something to go through this...Field of Resonance was going to take even more time. "Is dhat so now? Well, I will make sure to look for resources in dhe black market, I am sure it will be possible to find dhe tech we need to build dhis device." Her words made him give a soft shrug before he reached for his own datapad to examine something. "Unfortunately dhe soldiers I brought with me are just Vehicons, dhey aren't made for dhis sort of task. I will need to build an ambush team from dhe scratch." Terrashock briefly glanced to the side the moment he heard Airburst speaking again, simply giving a nod before returning his attention to his own datapad. "Dhat's correct, I will be needing soldiers specialized on ranged combat, and with enough strength to handle dhese weapons too. So let me know whenever you manage to find recruits for dhis mission." Soon enough his attention returned to Fauxwing the moment she continued to speak, only to show a toothy grin this time, simply tapping the datapad a few more times before hiding it back in a compartment. "I suppose dhat part in specific will take a while. But I still need to design all dhe other weapons made for dhis task, as I need to prepare some proper weapons for both restraining and with enough explosive power to properly harm it dhe moment we get dhrough its armor."
The mention of that mercenary again only made him shake his helm again. "I will be dealing with dhese tasks, so another method will be eventually found. If a -mercenary- has access to dhat level of technology, it must be something I can find in dhe market, or perhaps in some of dhe ships roaming around...So salvaging ships dhat do enter in our territory is an option too." The Combaticon mumbled out with a servo under his chin simply pondering about the possible ways to reach his main objective, but for now the best course of action was going to be visiting the black market and all sorts of merchants in his sector, both to get resources for those new weapons and hopefully also find the needed materials to make a device capable of dealing with the Field of Resonance. As he was already satisfied with the amount of information he gained, he bumped his arm against his chestplate again to properly salute Fauxwing and began to move away. "Very well dhen, I will start working right away. I will make sure to report any sort of progress, for now I will look for dhe resources." With that being said, Terrashock walked away and towards the landing platform again to prepare for his material hunt.

A silent nod, Terrashock was waved off in the usual manner. In spite of his methods being contrary to Fauxwing's, she considered them to be none of her concern, so long as he produced results. Neither did she concern herself with Terrashock's instructions to find recruits for his mission, to which she gave Airburst a look that was certain to tell the acquisitions officer that it would be her responsibility. Easy enough a task. She remained patient through the rest of Terrashock's explanation for his mission, all of which she found to be to her satisfaction.
"Sounds like you have a plan of action," she commented. "Very well, then. I will leave you to it."
"Airburst, you are dismissed. See to the final arrangements for Terrashock and his crew's transfer are fully accommodated."
After they had left her, Fauxwing set herself to resuming her routine. Stacks of data pads neatly piled in desk drawers sorted through, different files and reports read, those appropriate responded to. Dull duties to anyone except Fauxwing. In the satisfying quiet stillness of her mundane task, she found rest.
